Okay….full disclosure time. I grew up in church since I was knee high to a grasshopper. Well, at least as far back as I can remember. Before the church service turned into a worship service we used to have a time set-aside at the beginning of service for testimonies. I called it “testimony service” because you would hear everything from the spoken work to a heartfelt, spirit-filled song (occasionally accompanied with tears or a dance).
I loved, loved, loved “testimony service”. I’m inclined to believe that I’m not the only one. Even the Scriptures mention the importance of a testimony. Moses was instructed to put the Testimony in the Ark of the Covenant. In Revelation 12:11 it’s recorded, “And they [Believers] overcame him [the accuser of the brethren] by the blood of the Lamb and the by the word of their testimony…”.
